Middle school students in the theatre camp at the Donald W. Nixon Centre for Performing and Visual Arts practice their choreography for a production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” According to Cathe Nixon, director of the centre, the camp’s purpose is to create a larger interest in drama and theatre in younger students. Through the week-long camp, students learn choreography, vocals, blocking and acting for an entire show and perform it for the public at the end of the week. “Thoroughly Modern Millie” will be performed at 5 p.m. today.
