A fundraiser for Edmund Irvin, the Coweta County Deputy killed Tuesday, has been set up through the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
Irvin was shot following a family dispute while off-duty.
He left behind a fiancé who is five months pregnant with their son, who is slated to arrive in September.
The sheriff’s office has created a GoFundMe with the sole intention of raising $10,000 to be placed in a trust fund for Irvin’s son.
Donations will be collected throughout the month of May before the funds are transferred to an account at BB&T Bank.
The fund has been established by the employees of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, and it is the only donation page that is fully sanctioned and supported by Sheriff Lenn Wood.
