At its meeting Tuesday, the Newnan City Council unanimously voted to go through with a $1,600 structural engineering study at Wadsworth Auditorium. The study will determine how much weight the support system over the stage can safely handle.
The Wadsworth Auditorium Restoration Committee has been meeting to continue with restoration plans for the historic Jefferson Street hall. Projects currently under consideration include seat restoration, visual enhancements, stage improvements, a theatrical rigging system, video and audio system installation and other projects.
