[Bgmrc-list] some improvement on the Red Cross issue

In case you haven't seen it already, here's the ARRL's new position statement regarding the Red Cross background checks:

Looks like the Red Cross has backed down somewhat. Now it's just criminal background checks, and they'll accept other organizations' background checks -- presumably this would include ours from Coweta County. There are still potential pitfalls though:

"Although the Red Cross promises that it will not conduct a mode of living check or a credit check of volunteers, its contractor continues to require permission to conduct such investigations. ARRL has inquired of the Red Cross as to the reason for this, but to date has not received a satisfactory explanation."
