Net was conducted 2100-2108 hrs, on backup 146.79 repeater due to the
apparent outage of the 513 machine.

Kevin AK4MC spoke about some updates he's made to the cowetaares.org website:
======
* The information about the weekly nets, which had referred to the
WX4ACS repeater, now refers correctly to the BGMRC repeater, with
146.79 as backup.
* A considerable amount of information previously stored on the site
that is available in more up-to-date form elsewhere, has been removed
and the site now links to those offsite resources at ARRL.org and
FEMA.gov.
* The MOU with Coweta EMA and the most recent Coweta ARES SOP are
still on the site and are still linked from the main page. Technical
reference documents for a couple of antennas and describing the
Anderson power pole connectors are still on the site as well by way of
the "General Reference Library" link.
* Links to Coweta EMA and Georgia ARES websites have been added to the
main page.
* I've established a page at Blogspot.com (CowetaARES.blogspot.com)
where Coweta ARES announcements, such as the weekly net recaps, will
be posted once they're ready. If you go to CowetaARES.org and click on
"Announcements, Etc." you'll be taken to that page. This way if
someone has missed a net and perhaps not received an email through the
Coweta ARES reflector, they should still be able to find it.
I expect to have information regarding SATERN on the site fairly soon.

Fellow hams,
The Pine Mountain 145.190- repeater now has a PL of 123. This should
keep it from keying up all of the time from the Atlanta D-Star users. It
will not, however, eliminate interference to users of the Pine Mountain
repeater. Anyway, this is better than what we have had...which was a
repeater that stays keyed with nothing to hear and a bunch of frequency
coordinators that don't care. Hope to catch you all on the Pine Mountain
machine sometime!

Dear Fellow Radio Amateurs,
Just to let you know that the FCARC repeater shack that was at the old
repeater site on Hilo Road (Mrs. McDowell's property) was removed
today and the site cleaned up. I want to thank Alan, KI4SZP, Jim,
K4GVO, and Steve, KA2PWZ for helping out. With the removal of the
tower and shack we have effectively cleared the property, but I will
still do a walk-through with Mrs. McDowell in a few weeks to make sure
all issues are taken care of.
It has been a long road, but we've finally made one of our key
milestones in our plan to improve service to our club members. I want
to thank each and every one of you who generously contributed to the
tower removal fund and helped with tower removal activities. Without
you this would not have happened as quickly and effortlessly as it
did. You all get a heartfelt thanks and a big 'Attaboy!' from your
esteemed club president :-).
Now, looking forward...
Many of you have commented about the poor coverage the 145.210
repeater currently provides. We are (painfully) aware of the issue.
David, AG4ZR, is spearheading the Ellis Road tower effort and is
moving it forward as fast as possible. I ask all of you to be patient
and understanding regarding the current coverage of the 145.210
repeater; just as soon as we can execute the move we will. However,
the reality is that we are at the mercy of the State government and
are working on their time schedule. We will put out more information
just as soon as it becomes available, but I can assure you the Ellis
Road tower move will be both exciting and challenging.
Again thanks, and I'll see you on the radio!
73,
Brian
